ciaoveneca: For the three people who check my blog, you may have noticed that a small black kitten has been all I’ve posted about for the last few days. His name is Noodle and he is a new member of the Busch-Denton household.  We adopted him through Spokanimal, and he is a lively little treasure. Noodle is about two months old and (tonight after some researching) we are pretty sure he is a Bombay - he is all black with a tiny tuft of white hair on his upper chest. Bombays are known to be quite playful, social, and intelligent and are perfect for apartment living. Needless to say, we really lucked out finding Noodle. Even at two months of age, Noodle is a very active kitten and enjoys playing for hours on end and curiously zooming around the apartment looking for potential new toys. Neither Blaine nor I have owned cats before so Noodle is keeping us on our toes (literally —he likes to nibble on toes). From waking us up at the crack of dawn, to attempting to eat the iPad during a game of Fruit Ninja, to wedging himself in the couch, Noodle reminds us that we still have a great deal to learn and many responsibilities we need to uphold.  I feel so fortunate to have found such an adorable and lovely pet somewhat serendipitously. I am thankful that Noodle is in our lives and I look forward to the ways he will support and challenge us to grow into our adulthood — just as he will be doing before our eyes — in the coming months and years.
